Etomidate (I'm on a date)...
Why "I'm on a date?" Well, in nurse anesthesia school we were trying to figure out how to remember dosages and since Etomidate's dosing was 0.2 (to 0.3) we always thought "Etomidate, I'm on a date..it's just 2 people (or in this case 0.2). Yea, a little bit of a stretch, but here I am 17 years later and I still remember this.
Etomidate is an interesting medication, but aren't they all? Structurally and from the perspective of side effects, this one is rare. Enjoy the brief details on this anesthetic agent
